From CONPS: Stiff, silvery, aromatic perennial 1 1/2 - 3 ft tall can spread quickly by rhizomes to colonize. Shrub-like, densely matted hairs with small, yellowish, late season flowers. Tends to be left alone by deer and squirrels. Low maintenance ground cover can even be mowed. Grows in mesic, rocky, shallow, well-drained soils. This tough plant's cut stalks can be used to make fragrant wreaths or flower arrangements.
